Behind every bad guy, there’s a good guy tracking him down. Behind every heist, every glorified crime story, there’s a real hero hunting for clues and hungry for justice. And because the news media and popular culture focus so much on the crime and the culprit, the steady and essential work of our law enforcement officers is often ignored or taken for granted.
But starting today, there is a great new online resource that will change that: www.LawEnforcementMuseum.org – the newly redesigned website of the first-ever National Law Enforcement Museum.
More than just a source of information, this new website previews the whole Museum experience, three years before its scheduled opening in Washington, DC, in 2011. Visitors will get a taste of what the Museum has to offer, from a 3-D virtual tour of the planned space, to online galleries, and project news and milestones. And as the Museum continues to take shape, the Museum website will grow with new features and content added.

Twenty years after the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was dedicated in 1991, the National Law Enforcement Museum will open its doors to the public in 2011. As of today, the Museum’s “A Matter of Honor” Campaign has raised approximately $34 million of the $80 million needed to build this world-class Museum.

When the driver of a huge trailer lost control of his rig, he plowed into an empty tollbooth and smashed it to pieces. He climbed down from the wreckage and within a matter of minutes, a truck pulled up and discharged a crew of workers.
The men picked up each broken piece of the former tollbooth and spread some kind of creamy substance on it. Then they began fitting the pieces together. In less than a half hour, they had the entire tollbooth reconstructed and looking good as new.
“Astonishing!†the truck driver said to the crew chief. “What was the white stuff you used to get all the pieces together?
“The crew chief said, “Oh, that was tollgate booth paste.â€

The sum of zero and a negative number is negative, the sum of a positive number and zero is positive, the sum of zero and zero is zero. A negative number subtracted from zero is positive, a positive number subtracted from zero is negative, zero subtracted from a negative number is negative, zero subtracted from a positive number is positive, zero subtracted from zero is zero. A positive or negative number when divided by zero is a fraction with the zero as denominator. Zero divided by a negative or positive number is either zero or is expressed as a fraction with zero as numerator and the finite quantity as denominator. Zero divided by zero is zero.

A quantity divided by zero becomes a fraction the denominator of which is zero. This fraction is termed an infinite quantity.
